UPDATED INFORMATION AS OF 11:00 a.m. SATURDAY March 3, 2020

Due to coronavirus concerns, and to protect the health of everyone, the Session has decided to suspend all church activities, including Sunday morning activities, for the foreseeable future. This was a decision made only after much prayer and discernment. All activities are cancelled for now – worship, meetings, study groups, fellowship events. When we resume either a full or partial schedule, we will let you know. There will be no one in the office during this time, so if you have any concerns during this time, please feel free to contact your Elder Shepherd or Pastor Libby.

This decision was made by taking into consideration the guidance of the CDC, Virginia’s Governor, and the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia.

This is uncharted territory and we are doing our best to navigate these coming days and keep you as safe and healthy as possible. The church of Jesus Christ has always been about standing up for the least of these and looking out for our neighbors. We believe this effort, while uncomfortable for all of us, accomplishes these basic Christian goals by protecting the ones in our community most at risk.

Lynnhaven prides itself on being a closely connected family. These days apart do not diminish our connections. We are simply being challenged to find new ways of connecting. Please call each other, send cards, and reach out to those who may feel isolated and lonely. As always, your Lynnhaven family is here to care for each other.
